Tristam is a well established photographer and is a certified Canson Master Printer. He began his photographic journey 30 years ago in his teens and by 18 was already a Darkroom Tech for the Daily News in Tweed Heads, had begun self employment as a photographer and his folio of work awarded him acceptance into the Bachelor of Photography at Queensland College of Art (Griffith University) where during his graduating year he was named the APA Student Photographer of the Year.
You can find Tristam all over the Tweed Coast and Valley, usually at sunrise or sunset creating landscape images. While he has shot in Northern NSW all his life, early in his career he established a very successful photography studio in Brisbane and worked within commercial, portrait and predominantly wedding photography for over 8 years before moving the studio back to the coast and continuing shooting professionally.
He has always stayed true to his passion for landscape photography, selling work at the markets, from exhibitions and owning a retail store in Kingscliff for many years. He has been a finalist for both the Olive Cotton and Josephine Ulrick Photographic Prizes, twice a finalist in the QLD PPA Landscape Photographer of the Year and won the highest scoring print in the 2018 Awards.
His passion for selling artwork led him to start creating his own large format prints in 2005 and later purchasing a pro lab in 2007. After moving his focus to fine art printing a decade ago he has elevated his experience and knowledge to become a world class fine art printer and is sought after by photographers and artists all over the country to produce high end exhibition and awards works.
Tristam is a Co-Owner of The Creative Mix, one of the four founding artists and is the primary printer for all prints sent out from this platform. You can find more information about Tristam HERE
